Sidestand and sportboards

I have the Ilium Works sportboards for my '04 LT. Even though the board will stay up out of the way to lower the sidestand it still is pretty difficult. Anyone extend their sidestand tongue for easier deployment?

I haven't extended the sidestand but I can say that after a few tries you will master the technique required to lower the sidestand with the Ilium floorboards. I use my toe to raise the floorboard slightly while simultaneously extending the sidestand. Takes a little practice but after a while it becomes second nature. YMMV
