iABS question

2002 LTE with iABS, 57K miles

Just finished replacing the six brake lines with Spiegler SS braided lines, used a MityVac pneumatic vac system to bleed lines and control circuits.

Afterwards decided to test the brakes using residual pressure as I have the battery out doing a 12K major service, waiting on air filter, fuel filter and internal fuel lines and installing updated Garmin, etc.

Spun the front wheel and pulled the right front brake lever, wheel stopped, felt like good pressure on master cylinder.

Spun rear wheel and pulled the right front brake lever, wheel continued spinning.

Here is the caveat; the rear brake micro switch was cracked so the entire footpeg bracket assembly is off bike, awaiting a new switch so I can't depress the rear peddle to activate the rear brake master cylinder.

Should I get some rear brake response using the front lever or not?

Thanks in advance for any assistance offered!

Regards,
Boots

Re: iABS question

Not if the battery is out. You need the servos running to get the benifit of the linked brakes. Once you get the battery back you can check it out. The front lever will feel different once the ABS is powered up.
