Corbin seat email contact

The bike I purchased came with heated Corbin seats. The passenger seat was not plugged in, as reported by the previous owner. Last night when Robert and I were messing around with the bike, we plugged it. Only one of the switch lights lit and it was always on, regardless of the setting.

I went to the Corbin site to contact them, but they require part numbers and all kinds of information that I don't have. Does anyone have an email address for them? I just want to send them an email and ask for advice and guidance.

Thanks,
Larry

Re: Corbin seat email contact

Good luck trying to get help from them. Have called on several occasions trying to get help and was shut down . All I wanted was rubber trim for side panels when you cut down for low seat. They will want the seat back first of all. Second owner, may not help you.

Good luck.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

You may need to remove the switches and compare the wiring to how the front seat switch is wired. It sounds like the switch is mis-wired.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

Very happy with mine. Didn't need it on the '02 as the stock seat sat well. They cut out the sides for 05+ and it felt like I was sitting on a pipe. Had one on my K100RT also. I like the support for longer distances and can ride several tanks.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

Corbin no longer offers a heated seat for the LT, so I guess they have written us off.

None the less it should be pretty easy to re-wire the seat and make it work. I have never had one but if some one wanted to send me one I could work out a procedure to do it.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

I have no use for Corbin's customer service. I wanted to purchase a mounting bracket for a used Corbin seat I purchased for a 1600 GTL. I went to their web site, and send them an inquiry about that issue. I did not receive a response for almost three weeks. Then I sent a second inquiry, which was answered seven days later. When I finally got an answer from them, they told me they only sold the bracket with the original seat order and unless I was the original customer, I would have to purchase the item from a vendor. Obviously I thought that was a ridiculous way to do business, and told them so. I guess they didn't care. I also inquired as to local vendor, and I never did get an answer from them. BTW, I also tried to get an answer via the phone, and got no answer that way either. I will never buy another Corbin seat, new or used.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

I found an email contact and sent them a message. My seat is used that came with the bike when I bought it. They quickly sent me a seat switch. This was not the problem, so they sent me the address in California. I sent in the seat and within a day after they received it they said it had a bad heating pad. This was about 10 days ago. They are repairing the seat and shipping it back for what I consider a very reasonable price of $149.

My personal experience with websites from small company speciality products is they are often out of date and contact inquires go to someone who's not at the company anymore. It's very hit and miss.

But so far I've been very satisfied with my experience with Corbim. Naturally, if I don't get my seat back by Mid-April, They'll start to drop on my satisfaction list.

Re: Corbin seat email contact

I'm happy to report that I received my repaired seat yesterday and all seems good.

For the most part I was very happy with Corbin and their service. There was one lady who was a bit rude and unhelpful, but the other four people with whom I worked were really great.
