Shipping a Motorcycle?

Does anyone have a recommendation for shipping a motorcycle from Kansas City to Atlanta?

Re: Shipping a Motorcycle?

I've used Keyboard Motorcycle shipping with great results.
You also try U-Ship

Re: Shipping a Motorcycle?

We had the local BMW dealer strap my '03 inside the moving truck. Was a little nerve racking when I had to ride it down the relatively narrow loading ramp because it was a normal semi trailer (not a low entry U-Haul). Couldn't see the ramp once I approached it so I just had to point and hope.

Posted twice on U-Ship and never got a response. My move was from WI to WA. Maybe no one travels out this way.

Wow, Ramps!!

That Keyboard shipping sounds good.., $625 is decent. Hoping there is no fuel or other charges so I will call for a quote.

Thanks so much!

Re: Shipping a Motorcycle?

Keyboard shipped my R12RT from Miami to SUX and did a great job. They use a unique pallet that is attached to a frame for moving pianos. Very secure and great stability. They wheeled the pallet onto a power lift gate and had it on the ground and unpacked in 10 minutes.

When they unloaded there was a $40K Harley CVO behind my bike. Joked with the driver about the Harley being a valuable load.

He said it was not nearly as valuable as the 3 Steinway grands in the front of the trailer!

Red face Re: Shipping a Motorcycle?

I used Allied in 2/09 and was very pleased. From CA to NC door to door. I was told they ship about 15,000 bikes per year. They do not ship on the same truck with household goods.

I could tell the driver/delivery guy had done that many times and the tie down directions were correct for the LT.
