Did the Canisterectomy
I finally decided to do a little preventive care, while getting the bike ready for it's 24,000 mile service, on what some call the "Green Toad" by performing a Canisterectomy. By studying all of the helpful hints and detailed instructions to the letter, it really was not hard. The most difficult part was just getting the bike to where everything was assessable. Another challenge was just making sure the correct tube was capped. A little thought and the instructions did not let me down.
I would not have wanted to do this by myself. As ALWAYS, without all of the great information supplied by this board, it probably would not have been done successfully.
Thanks to all that made it possible for me to enjoy this bike as much as I do. Looks great with the top case off too. May just leave it that way for a while.
