On the Road Again

I parked the Beemer back in June because I picked up another bike. My riding buddy sold me my Vulcan 2000 back. He took me to breakfast and made me a deal I couldn't refuse. He dropped it several times and wanted a smaller bike. It was the only bike I ever sold and wanted back so I took it back. I've been riding it all summer. I've worn the rear Avon down to the wear mark. It's that right wrist that peels the tread off. It's 125 cubic inches and with a K&N air filter and Powershot pipes and Fuel Pak controller it puts out 120 hp and 140# of torque. It's fun to ride but it's no Beemer. I parked it at the shop last week and got the LT back out. I had forgotten how smooth the bike is. I missed my ABS and the adjustable windshield. Not much wind protection on the Vulcan. Not much storage either. I think it's the best of both worlds but if I had to choose, I'd keep the Beemer..........

Re: On the Road Again

I almost bought a 2004 mint, low miles, sky blue 2000 Vulcan with the corbin hard bags before I got the LT. Just an absolutely perfect bike that I thought I wanted. After seeing the LT the options won out and I had not read this forum. Funny how things turn out and I wouldn't change a thing. I Did ride one though and was very impressed with power, torque, and sound.

2000 Lt
800 Kawasaki
25 yrs. without
750 Suzuki
550 Suzuki
160 Honda

The ride is fresh under diamond skies, makes me glad to be alive.
