Auxiliary fuel Tank ?

Hey all,

I just read that from Click

"There are many, many aux tanks in that category, including a rear-mounted K1200LT aluminum tank design that Kevin Chase builds, and custom aux cell applications by BLM-Accessories"

Does anybody know it ? Any experience ?

This is one of the best that I have seen. The photo is from the manufacturers web site and is owned by one of the members on this forum.

Frenchy,
Here is the thread of the design I copied: http://www.bmwlt.net/ubbthreads/show...=&view=&sb=&o=

I will try to find my orginal thread and some pics. I am guessing that I have 15,000 miles with my "tail-dragger" fuel cell with little problems.

Tail Dragger

Some pics of my ~5 gal tail dragger. Transfer to main tank with a MC pushbutton at 1 gal per minute. Quick disconnect under seat with a connector and hose that I can refuel someone else with also. Design by Tom Austin. May have a simular one for sale if interested.

"MC pushbutton at 1 gal per minute"
I have to reset up my tank on the 2003, I just bought.
What are you using for a transfer pump and where are you connecting it?

Here the pump:

Use a one way valve to prevent backflow

The pump is self priming and has a check valve (the external is "just in case") and it's mounted under the passenger seat.
