Question Wheel weights falling off?

Any body had the wheel weight moved or fall off?

The first set of tires the rear wheel did not have any weights..
Wondering now if they fall off before I notice....?

The rear wheel weight on the right side moved and hit the shaft ....

From my racing days we put tape over them to prevent this from happing.

Tired this and put Duct tape over them after I notice they where moving...

Too late the left side is gone and the right side is hit the shaft....

Never had a weight come off. What type of weight are they using?

The dealer I go to has the weight with double sided tape.

He cleans the wheel with solvent before attaching the weights. when he first attaches the weight to check if it is right, he holds it in place with masking tape.

Hope this helps.

I've had them come off but not very often. Usually it's right away if the wheel wasn't properly cleaned before the weight was installed or after many miles when the double face tape failed. It appeared the foam portion of the tape had degraded and came apart.
