Making it comfy

From the one back rest I actually got to put my hands on, it looked pretty simple. Question, how do these normally mount? Is the seat itself modified?
Or just a slot that the back rest slides into? Are they mounted on the underside of the passenger seat, or to the frame of the bike?

Thanks! I am thinking of making one my self.....

The BakUp backrest simply is attached using the two Allen bolts for the rear seat. On and off in a minute, a very nice design. I highly suggest you finding one locally and copying that design as it is perfect, IMHO.

Of course that is the one seat that I looked at. He bought the same bike I was thinking about...odd.
