Hello From "The Lake"

Hi everyone. Boy, I sure hope I don't make a mistake posting this in the wrong place on my very first effort but here goes....
I bought a 2005 LT in January and due to the long winters here, have just really begun to ride and play on it. I've been riding motorcycles ever since my dad put me on his old nighthawk when i was 4 and rode me around Grand Rapids Michigan.
I hope to make some friends here and learn a little more about my LT in the process.
Okay-the riding weather is short here so I have some cruising to do. Nice to meet everybody. Take care!

Welcome
Check out the Northern California link under "Regional Discussions" for info on rides and stuff going on just over the hill.

We do a dinner ride every Wednesday nite out of Sacramento (some come from Napa, Tracy, Modesto and last week from Florida) and everyone is welcome. Check out HDDC for locations.

Welcome

This is - by far - the most knowledgeable and helpful group I've seen. Sometimes, it's possible to get sucked in to some pretty heated political/religious threads but, fortunately, thats really not what the group is about.

If you have questions or problems, there is someone in the group who has the answer and is more than willing to share their knowledge and experience.

Your riding season may be short but, I am jealous of your riding area. The scenery is spectacular and there are some great roads.

Welcome - ride safe and enjoy.

Shorten the winter

Gerbings (heated liners) will shorten the winters for you by at least 2-4 months.
