Mystery indicator light

Bought my LT new in 2005, but am new to this forum. I have just under 70,000 miles on my LT and really love it. About a month ago, this little red indicator light appeared on the right side of my instrument panel just above the words "TRIP RESET". The only reference to this light that I can find in the manuals is that it has something to do with the security system. I showed it to the tech at the local BMW dealer and he had no clue as to what this light was. The bike runs fine and the security system works as it always has. But I would love to shut off this light. Anybody have any information on this?

Re: Mystery indicator light

Welcome!
Sorry can't help, don't have the security system.
Can you post a pic of the indicator light that's on...?
Might help jog someone's memory.
Cheers

Re: Mystery indicator light

The indicator light is a telltale light for anti-theft alarm. See the following link for details
