Parking Light Bulb Removal/Replacement

Guys -
Dumb question time.
Have a 2007 LT and want to replace the two std parking light bulbs that straddle the low beam with LEDS. I know what LEDs to use, but my issue is getting the existing parking light bulbs out of the connector. My Clymer says to pull the connector back. However, the connectors do not seem to want to be easily removed. Before I start to break things, I thought I'd ask.

Can you help?

Re: Parking Light Bulb Removal/Replacement

I just replaced mine with amber bulbs, the bulb holder twists out, mine was very tight, just had to work with it for a while.

Good luck...randy

Yes, they just turn about 1/4 turn (counter clockwise from behind) and then pull straight out.

TIP: Apply a slight push in on the socket as you start turning. When it stops turning, it should then pull straight out.

Guys -
Thanks for the feedback. Once you know what to do, removal was a snap. Updating Clymer
