Are the '06 comm system cables the same as '03?

I just took delivery of my new 2006 LT. I was told by the sales rep that my helmet headsets from my 2003 comm system would work with the new bike. Apparantly they don't. The pinouts seem to be the same - the plug fits, if that means anything. But, alas, no sound through my helmet headsets; not from the radio, intercom or cell phone. Does anyone know if the connecting cords are compatible, or is there something else I might be missing? Thanks.

Just had the complete system installed on my 06 and they had to order the cords for the 06 because they are different.

Yup you're right

I spoke with BMW Daytona today and they told me the lower cord has changed since '05. Apparantly there were numerous complaints with the earlier cable (I never had any problems with mine) so they came out with this improved version (and forced us to buy new cables!).
