Re: rear abs sensor ring

I just replaced mine a few months ago...

You will need to heat up the abs ring a good amount, to expand the metal. I used MAP/propane gas for the job. After you heat it up, use a pry bar to get leverage on the ring (like those Wonder bars by Stanley) and pry it up slowly, while working your way around the ring. It will come off, but not without a little work. Do not hammer the ring out of fear of damaging it. If it continues to be stubborn, you could heat it up and hit the inner rotor with some freeze spray and then pry it up.

When you get the old rotor off, give it a quick wipe down and place it on the new rotor while still warm and the metal is still expanded. It should slip right on without any resistance.

Good luck!
