Might have put 200 miles on the odometer this year
. Over 10 weeks on the road, for work, so far this year has really hurt seat time and now a medical issue has cropped up that will take me some time to get used to as it isn't "fixable".
Back in 1988, I was strapping a load on my pickup with bundgy cords, one broke and hit me square in the right eye. The incident cost me a week in the hospital, tore the pupil and I ended up with a traumatic cataract that was addresses with surgery.
Fast forward to now, I woke up a few weeks ago to find out that I could barely see out of my right eye. Went to a retinal specialist and found out that due to the injury, I developed traumatic glaucoma that has permanently damaged the optic nerve.
My depth perception is way off and on a quick ride to the forest the other day, I had a hard time in the twisties.
Gonna take some time to get used to this before I get back on. Hoping to over come, don't want to give up riding.
