ABS Module from K1200S on a K1200LT

I need a replacement ABS module for my 2006 K1200LT and have found a module from a 2006 K1200S. Visually they look identical, but I'm wondering if there are differences in the pressures or logic that would make them non interchangeable. Does anyone happen to have any experience?

They may look identical, but I suggest that you match up the part numbers--ALL the part numbers--to be doubly sure. But you knew that, right?

Part numbers are different, hence my question. I'm guessing it is not compatible, but with the availability of the modules and the price of new units from BMW I'm looking for an alternative solution other than bypass and go with regular hydraulic brakes.

You're probably correct in your assumption, but, if the fittings and the wiring are all in the same places, and you DO decide to try it, and it works.....you will be dubbed Hero of the Day! No, really!

Good luck!

If you want it for parts I am sure the pump motors are identical but the diameter of the metering ports and other pistons as well as the firmware in the "brain" are most likely different. Just like an "S" tranny will not work on an LT.
