It's here!

My 'new to me' 2006 K1200GT has arrived and is now nestled away safe and sound in my garage.

When I had my R1200GS I was a regular over at advrider where the GS owners would affectionately call their bikes 'panzers.' Well, I have been doing some reading on the various variations of panzers (tanks) and I think I may have settled on some potential names for the K-GT:

Tiger - a heavy tank well known for its maneuverability, power, and speed but prone to track failure. This fits the K-GT pretty well right down to the RD failures, but coming from my perspective on the Ultra, the K-GT is not really a heavyweight.

Panther - a mid-weight tank known for its speed, agility, and excellent suspension. This fits the K-GT even better as it is smaller than the heavy weights, handles well, and has plenty of power.

Jagdpanther - a variation of the Panther fitted with a big gun and used to 'hunt' other tanks. The Jagdpanther translates into 'hunter panther.' This sounds pretty cool!

So, for now, my K-GT may be referred to as the "Jagdpanther."

regards,
Dan

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

LOL... I didn't upload pics because it looks first like any other 2006 K1200GT.

But, just in case you need to see the Cee Bailey shield, repositioned pegs, repositioned bars, and headlight protector...

Stable mates!

Re: It's here!

Congrats on the new bike. Seems a better name would have been RIDE D GAL.
