Top Box Protection

I got tired of scuffing up the flat black on my expensive top box with my big feet. So I had this inexpensive (relatively speaking) leather "bib" made at a local leather shop. I know leather is for that "other" expensive brand but this looks good and does the job. It"s held on with velcro so there's no mods to the BMW parts. $80.00

Re: Top Box Protection

If I could get my legs/feet that high I would be great, however with short legs, old age, I am lucky I can get my feet over the seat. I have however a couple of scuffs on the top of the paniers. I am not sure if your idea would work for that or not. Maybe I could just put a leather scuff protector on my boots before I get on.

Re: Top Box Protection

Harley actually makes black vinyl covers for the tops of their panniers. Those open from the top. The side opening bags on the K1200 would make fabricating covers a little more tricky. But I have no doubt that my man Dave could figure out something.
