Cool '07 K12GT Trike Conversion Desired

Does anybody have or know about a company who converts 06 to 2010 GTs to a Trike and where the installation is being done? I've lost my lower right leg and have a prosthesis ready to use as soon as a procedure on my left ankle heals. I've heard that other riders who've lost a leg do well on bikes, but I am in my early 70's and not so sure about that for me. Thanks, John F

I don't know of any outfits doing that to GTs.

There were some pics of a BMW skunkworks project triked GT, but it was a one-off.

I'd suggest asking in our Trailers, Sidecars, & Trikes forum. There are several companies that trike LTs (Hannigan, Lehman, Voyager). Maybe one of them could help you.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Hi Ken, Thanks for your response to my question. I've been spending sometime looking for GT conversions, but so far no luck. I hope that I'll soon find out if my prosthesis will be unfound.worrys. John F

I did find the thread on the GT trike.

The original eBay listing is long gone, but like I said, I remember this being a one-off project.

Hannigan does trikes based on the basic BMW chassis. Not sure if they do one on the GT, but I know they do one on the LT. I know Bob's BMW in Jessup Md. is an authorized Hannigan dealer and they do conversions as well. Best bet is give them a call. Bob's is one the of the best BMW dealers in the country and their customer service is second to none. I am sure they would be willing to help you, they are a great group.

Yes, Hannigan makes kits for the K 1200-LT, and the R series, but check them out. I have an 02 recently converted, and love it!
