Fantastic... weather + bike + scenery =

Adds up to an awesome weekend!

So... having the K12GT back from its warranty repairs Dorne and I decided to give it a good shakedown weekend

Down to the Elan Valley to Devils Bridge

http://www.elanvalley.org.uk/

http://www.devilsbridgefalls.co.uk/

Then a ride over to Aberystwyth stopping at the George Borrow Hotel, Aberystwyth for a gorgeous steak baguette out in the garden watching the red kites hovering overhead.

http://www.thegeorgeborrowhotel.co.uk/

Then down to Aberystwyth prom for the obligatory ice cream and soak up the seaside atmoshphere, while perusing the bikes on the prom.

Then over the "Pass of the Cross" from Dinas Mawdwy to Bala http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bwlch_y_Groes before veering over to lake Vyrnwy and a relaxing shandy on the verandah at the Vyrnwy hotel http://www.lakevyrnwy.com/ and home.

Next day riding over to Black Rock sands via Bala<>Trawsfynydd returning home via Beddgelert<>Betws y Coed ... and finished with a walk down the road to the local pub for a couple of welcome beers.

I think I "may" be removing the rear footrests off the BoxerCup again as Dorne finds the K12GT MUCH more comfortable for longer trips .

Steve,

Great pics. Great riding trip.

Did you happen to drop a few vowels along the way?

Nah, all the Welsh vowels migrated to Hawai'i where it's warmer . . .

Nice pics, Steve. I've enjoyed many a random pub lunch on a fine riding day. Just don't forget the rain gear.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

In the UK Ken, as you know, the waterproofs are always carried... thankfully though we've had a dry spell for a week or two so far

Hi David

In Wales we have different vowels to the English language ... the letter "y" is a vowel here
