Unhappy windshield problem '09K1300GT

While riding yesterday I lowered the shield, later on tried to raise it and nothing. Lowered it a little more but it would not go up. Now the shield is all the way down.

I assume it's a problem with the switch since the w/s motor worked to lower the shield. Anyone else experience this problem.

Bike is only two months old with 2000 miles on it and all the recalls have been performed.

Thanks,
Brian

Has the switchgear recall been done as well? Could be related to that if not. Regardless, you're still under warrnaty so BMW will take care of it.

Re: windshield problem '09K1300GT

Update:

Took bike to a different dealer other than the one I bought it from and who supposedly did the switch recall. Problem was with the switch, and original dealer didn't perform the switch recall like they said they did.

Got both left and right controls on order, hopefully will be here in a week.

On a side note I was told it would be covered by BMW since it was under a recall, but if it wasn't under a recall then BMW might not cover the repair under warranty since I had installed an after market horn (Stebel).

BMW really knows how to try and keep it's customers!!
