Tupperware Removal

Can anyone please advise me on the correct sequence of fairing
pieces removal?

Wanted to "see" the motor on my 08 K1200GT for possible Stebel
horn installation, but I am unsure what comes off first, and do not
want to experiment with possible cracked pieces if I "screw" it up.

Thanks

Re: Tupperware Removal

For the GT pull the battery cover from above the tank. Next pull the side fairings, keeping in mind there are 4 screws on the black inner fairing behind the front wheel, including one hiding behind the ram air inlet (which is soft and will bend out of the way). you'll also need to open the glove box lid and remove 3 screws from there, otherwise they are all visible. Pay attention to the which lengths come from where because it matters. From there the gray side covers around the tank and the paint matched tank cover removal will be obvious.

For the Stebel horn there is a shelf holding the ABS unit on the left side and the horn will fit there nicely. That's where mine is installed.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: Tupperware Removal

Thanks David, and Meese thank-you to a very detailed link from Semper, if I can't
get it done now, well I don't deserve the bike.
