Service Manual

I am looking for a service manual for a 2009 K1300GT. I see online they come in CD form. I have asked two dealers about them and both said about $110. The price does not bother me, the fact neither could verify they are available. Nor would they inquire without me ordering one first.
I like the Tech side of the ride too.

They are available, I have one. If you need the stock number, I can get it at home tonight. It is called RepRom K4x. I don't recall the version, but when you order you will get the latest version available.

Re: Service Manual

I own one, so I know they exist. If you ask for the K1300GT service manual on DVD they should be able to order exactly what you want.

Are you dealing with San Francisco, Cal, or San Jose BMW?

I am dealing with the one in the middle, Cal Moto and A&S in Roseville. I have not seen a 2009 1300 listed . Still looking.

Re: Service Manual

It's the same manual as the K1200GT. That's what I have and from everything I've reviewed they are a match in most thing other than the obvious (displacement, switchgear, rear ESA shock).

I recently bought one from my local BMW dealer. It comes in DVD (not CD) form. I am traveling, but will report the part number when I get back home.

I do remember that the window that opens up after you launch the executable says something similar to "3rd edition, 02/2009".

You can select K1300 models, in addition to the K1200 ones.

Re: Service Manual

It is the BMW Motorrad Repair manuals "K Models 4x"

Mine is revision date 02/2009 part number 01 59 7 720 811

Be sure and ask your dealer to check for subs when it is ordered. The manual will be superseded if a new one has been released. As far as I know this one will be current until next year.

I just returned home from my trip. My repair manuals DVD is the same as Randy's and Steve's (TxWhiteKnight). It has a revision date 02/2009, part number 01 59 7 720 811.

Beware the CD copies. Most are illegal bootlegs of the original 2005 CD. The 2005 CD covers the servo brakes (only 2005 S and the 2006 models) that were replaced for 2007 and later.

Re: Service Manual

Ordered!

Thanks for the detailed information. All the bits and pieces (and e-bay knock offs) were definitely confusing the issue.

Re: Service Manual

I was on a day trip and found myself at A&S BMW in Roseville. What a nice Dealership. I spoke to a salesman and found the DVD I was looking for. Oh boy. Now I need to make time to view. I hope to have selected sections printed and bound for permanent viewing. Expensive but considering what they cover, worth it.
