Red face Replacement seat recommendations?

On recent 2000 mile trip, found the OEM seat destroyed my tailbone and crotch. Have a 2006 K1200GT and have raised the handlebars to ride more upright. Am looking at the Bill Mayer, Rick Mayer and Sargent seats. Would appreciate any input from those who have done this. Thanks in advance.

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

Have had Rick Mayer seats on my last 5 bikes and have a hard time thinking about owning a bike without one. He makes a really great saddle, I think you would be pleased.

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

I have had Rick Mayer, Bill Mayer and Russel All Day saddles. I have a Bill Mayer on my 09 GT which I had on my 06 GT. I favor the Russel saddle as the best but my inseam puts me up too high on the Russel.

+1 on the Rick Mayer when I had an LT. I may try a Russell for the GT, even though they look like ass.

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

31.5" inseam. IS that good for the Russell? Many thanks for the replys. Curious about the comments on possibly changing from the Rick Mayer to the Russell and why. Doc

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

Hi have the Russell and have only a 30" inseam. No problem and the seat is worth every penny. I tried other and they did not work one was worse then the stock even, that was a waste of $500.

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

I'm on my second Rick Mayer seat and have loved both of them.

Re: Replacement seat recommendations?

Here are some pix of my Rick Mayer on my Triumph Sprint ST. I know, I know, this is a BMW GT group, but I'm sure the seats would look similar.....
