CAUTION Clutch fluid ..

Be careful guys .... K12GT's DON'T use brake fluid in the clutch. A friend mentioned that modern Beemers have changed from brake fluid to mineral oil.

I'd just topped up the R1100S BoxerCup so was panicking that I'd &*£%ed the seals with it. Rushed into the garage and thankfully the boxercup clutch cover says to use DOT 4 whereas the K12GT which appears to have the same clutch cover states on closer look to say only use mineral oil.

Apparently if you put brake fluid in the GT it makes the seals swell and go mushy

It also has different screws holding the cover on, just to make you think first.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
