k1200gt sloppy shifter fix

I ran across this article posted on another website and I must pass it on.Just yahoo "bmw k1200 gt sloppy shifter fix". I only have 4000 miles on an 08 gt but with some irritation at missed shifts especially first to second,I went out and checked the shifter.I was very surprised at how loose and sloppy it was,but the bolt was tight. The problem is the inner sleeve is much larger than the mounting bolt causing the sloppiness. I followed the step by step instructions and the fix was immediate and satisfying. The shifting problem has gone away.Vince if you happen to read this ,many thanks and as I also live in Fresno, the beer is already cold!
