Road runner to veritable fog horn ..

Hated the horrid little meep meep that the standard horn makes. After having 5 K100RS's fitted with a pair of beautiful Fiamms as standard the K12GT's was plain yeuch.

Recently fitted a Stebel Magnum to my R1100S BoxerCup and was impressed. Tried to install one to my Funduro but I'm still struggling where to place it ... anyway today I bit the bullet and decided to fit one to the K12GT.

For some reason I had it in my head that the horn was installed on the left side of the bike so took that panel off to find it not there

Took the right off, and still couldn't find it. Much beeping (sorry neighbours) and I eventually tracked it down to the right side hidden below the air intake.

I'd already ordered a canbus to spade connector from Nippy Normans.

Removing the air intake made it easier to get at the cable.

The standard connector needed its tab pressing with a screwdriver to release it.

Left the standard horn in place as it seemed too much hassle to remove it.

I'd been led to believe space was too tight but to be honest there was loads of room for it.
