07 K12GT Power outlet options

Looking for help/advice. My K12GT has one power outlet and what looks like two blanks for additonal sockets down by my left foot. I don't like the idea of cables running up to the cockpit area. Has anyone fitted a power socket in the vicinity of the upper fairing/instrument panel? If so how is it done?

Re: 07 K12GT Power outlet options

Hi,

I've just bought one recently and have added two power sockets, connectly directly (fused) to the battery...the one at the front of the bike is fitted in the black plastic inner trim panel, just ahead of the painted false lid on the left hand side of the bike.(in other words, with you sat on the bike, on the right hand side you've got the opening glove-box type storage locker....if you look to the left, you obviously haven't got one of these but if you look further ahead onto the black plastic trim, thats wher I've mounted a socket) Absolutely no problem with clearance underneath for the connection and very convenient for plugging my heated jacket in to)

Hope this helps,

Marc

This is what it will look like. Actually, the cable do not get in the way of my leg. I don't even notice them being there.
