OMG!! I've lost 250 lbs in one day!

Took the test ride on an 08 GT, and pulled the trigger today. Amazing how a 600 lb bike (GT) can feel so small. Boy is it slick; fast, handles great, and better protection from wind than I expected. Wife is waiting to test out rear seat comfort, but hey she rides 4x a year so gets limited vote. Lots of accessorizing to do, and will be selling off some LT accessories next week, in classifieds. Smiling so hard it hurts.

2005 LT Ocean Blue (Sold and comfort will be missed, but not the weight)

Congrats Laurence! Welcome to the GT club.

Man will you ever LOVE your GT!!! Be sure to give it some time and miles. It gets better with both...it really does! I am still amazed everytime I ride it. If most of the guys on this forum ever owned one, they might never go back to the LT.

Re: OMG!! I've lost 250 lbs in one day!

I did the same and the more I ride my GT the more I like it!!!! First time I took my ATLAS (GT) for a long ride, my arms and hands were sore but after almost 4 K milles I am loving it even more. My wife rides her own and I enjoy the power and freedom that the GT gives me. A friend ask me why I did not buy a HD, I told him due to tech and 4 cylinders. He ask why I bought a rice burner, And responded mine is not a rice burner but is a chrome eater, he did not ask more questions Enjoy

Re: OMG!! I've lost 250 lbs in one day!

Your body will go thru a transition of aches and pains as it adjusts to the bike, but it's worth every second.

These things turn by just thinking about, the power is addicting, the ESA magic and it rides cross country extremely well.

Not really a two up bike, but hey, at 4 times a year it's perfect.

Be sure to sign up on www.k-bikes.com, too. Run by the same folks and lots of good info for you on the GT board and the HoW.

I thought maybe you married my ex-wife and she fell off the back.
