Dunlop Street Smart Tires

Well I have not heard to much about them so I guess I'll be the guinea pig plus I need news ones before the trip down the BPR and the dragons tail in a couple of weeks.

First impression: Woe something is wrong I just got a head shake. OK it was a combination of a bad on ramp and to much power on fresh tires. Shake never came back.

After I got a chance to scrub them in they still seem to wander on the highway like a sport bike with out a steering damper. They handle the bumps in the corners well and give good feed back and feel light. I have not driven them in the rain yet so no impressions there. I'll see what the look like after the trip.

I just had one put on the rear. Still have the Conti RoadAttack on the front. I'll know more tomorrow after riding back & forth to work. I really can't tell that much just riding aroudn town breaking it in.

Thumbs up Re: Dunlop Street Smart Tires

Update on the tires.

I now have over 3500 miles on them including 2500 miles to and from the Dragon. They are wearing very well the front shows no sign of feathering. Of the 7 days on the road only 2 had no rain and they performed very well at all speeds. In the dry they were great! Up and down the Dragon and found on the Cherohala skyway that they slide very predictable, they just don't break loose. They will feel a bit more twitchy, then the 020's, when on the highway with traffic around you but that is gone if the air is clear. I will definitely buy these again! If I could only say that bout the new seat, that has to go!

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I now have over 6000 miles on them including 2500 miles to and from the Dragon and many miles on the slab back and forth to work and they are wearing very well. The front is now showing a slight sign of feathering.
