GT Mirrors Moving

It seems that the mirrors on my GT do not maintain their adjustment. They seem to move down and in, not in a large amount, but after 40 or so miles it's enough to notice the view behing me isn't what I had originally set them for. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to tighten the mirrors up on their stalks?

Re: GT Mirrors Moving

I hear that duct tape comes in Aventurine silver.

I've heard one or two complaints about the older RS mirrors slipping (same mirror head, different mounting point), but nothing about a solution. I don't know if it's possible to take the mirrors apart at the big ball end, either.

Maybe some of the older RS/GT guys can help, either here or on one of the sport-touring forums?

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: GT Mirrors Moving

Yep, mine are so stiff that they are hard to adjust at all while on the move, so I would concur....talk to the dealer and have them replaced under warranty.
