Adding Accessories with the Canbus System

I am soon to become a proud owner of a 2007 Blue K1200GT! I will actually take delivery of the bike Sept. 14th. I sold my new 08 C14 Connie yesterday. The Connie just wasn't the bike for me. I am looking forward to riding many many miles on my new GT! This bike really rips!

Let me see if I understand how I will able to add additional lighting, a CB radio, XM Radio, ect to the bike with the Canbus system.

Like if I wanted at add LED stop lights or running lights top the rear of the bike, I would need to tap into the stop light wire for example, add a relay and come off the relay to feed the additional stop light(s). Same way with a running light.

At the front of the bike if I wanted to add a set of driving lights, tap off of the low bean wire add a relay and run the feed from the relay to the driving lights.

What I am asking, is I will have to add a relay to power any additional accessory that I may want to add? I plan to add an accessory fuse block that I will feed directly off the battery. That will give me several circuits that I can use for various things.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Read canbus 101 on the www.k-bikes.com GT Forum. I use a Painless Fuse Box, 4 switched and 3 always hot. Relays are good!
