Loose Panniers of K12Gt?

The panniers on my 07 k12gt seem a bit loose. They've been like that since I bought the bike nearly 8 months ago, but I'd like to know of there are any solutions out there to get them to fit a bit tighter. I'm 200% sure they're latched properly. Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Loose Panniers of K12Gt?

BMW released Service Bulletin # 46 006 07 (059) "Play at Saddlebag Mounts" on this problem.

Go to the K1200GT parts diagram, click on 46-Frame, Fairing, Cases, and scroll down to diagram 46_1367 - CASE, LOWER PART.

Part # 22 46 54 7 699 847 SUPPORT $12 is what pushes up against the bottom of the side case rail and keeps things tight.

Note that the diagram also shows part # 22 46 54 7 712 002 SET: SET OF CLAMPS WITH BRACKET $8, which I believe gives you several different height options so that you can choose the one that fits snug, but not too tight.

No, I don't know why one piece is listed at $12, and a set of 4 is listed at $8.

I'd have your local dealer check the service bulletin listed above to be sure.

Or just order the 46 54 7 712 002 kit, as it's not all that expensive.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
