Mich Pilot Road 4 vs Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Mich Pilot Road 4 vs Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Is there a preference here?

I've been riding Mich since pilot 1s basically but now I read about these Dunlops and they are a bit cheaper price wise.

Any experience?

Can't help so almost pointless post, except to say loving the PR4 GT's so much I put one on the front of my LT as well as the '05 GT wearing them.
Will be interested to hear what others say about the Dunlops though...

ask on i-bmw or k-bikes.... think you'll find a lot more owners of the newer k1200/k1300-models on those forums.
I get most of the info on my k1200gt ('05) from there.

Re: Mich Pilot Road 4 vs Dunlop Roadsmart 3

I've used both on my K1600 GTL. Get longer wear on the PR4GT's. The Dunlops are a tad stickier, but IMO not worth sacrificing half the mileage.

I usually get 8,000 or so out of the rear PR4 GT's, and got only 4,200 out of the RSIII's.

Your results may vary.
