I bought an AF-XIED from Beemer Boneyard. After installing it my mpg dropped to 28 mpg. Mike at Beemer Boneyard got me in touch with someone, Roger, who is very knowledgeable about the AF-XIED. Using logs that I ran from my GS911 he was able to pinpoint the problem - - no signal from the O2 sensor. Further investigation showed a bent prong on one of the connectors. Mike sent me a new connector and I fixed it yesterday and took the bike for a ride. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The bike runs smoother at all rpms, 42 mpg, and that annoying hesitation is gone. For around $200 I think it is worth the money, particularly if you ride twistie roads a lot were acceleration is very important. Thank you Roger and Mike.
