Looking for a picture ..

Can anyone help me to a picture of a crystal grey GT with a large topbox that has a painted lid to match the bike?

TIA

I'm not sure what you're requesting exists. I've only heard of two other people that have painted the top box besides me, and I don't think their GTs are CGM. I know one other is also the Deep Blue Metallic.

IMHO, the only color that really gets away with not painted it is the Dark Graphite.

-1; CGM does not require painting, IMHO

I have the CGM bike, and a topbox, and I will be getting the box resprayed in about 2-3 weeks time (dealer has to order the paint). While the standard topbox is a fairly close match, it is a satin finish, not gloss, and although the bike colour changes according to the light and surroundings, the topbox colour doesn't. As a result sometimes the topbox looks a match and sometimes it's just slightly off colour - which jars a bit. A photo of what it looks like as standard is attached - I'll post a pic of the re-sprayed box as soon as it is done.

However, if you've already ordered your CGM GT, (good choice by the way ) then you can decide to get the topbox re-sprayed (or not) at any time after it arrives, once you see the result of mine. The colour match is certainly close enough for the short term with the standard box colour.

Have that one also. As you can read here, I've already ordered the topbox lid painted to match the bike.

It wasn't for me to decide whether to have it painted or not, it was merely to show friends what the bike would look like.

In that case, the picture I posted earlier of the existing colour is probably close enough, considering that the subtlety of the colour difference would be difficult to spot in a photograph. Given that is the case, I attach a photo of the whole bike, including the topbox, since at that scale the colour difference is probably acedemic.

Thank you - it is a very stunning colour and looks even better in the metal. Everyone who has seen it so far has made similar comments.

I should have mine back in a week or so, while it was in for the 6K, and since the paint shop already had some left over paint from my last job, I asked them to squirt the top case. Once I get it back I will be taking some pictures and will post a couple.

Of course I only did this in an effort to keep up with Joe
