Cool I'm on a diet

My aim: loose about 107 kg in 5 weeks and become 27 kW fitter

I closed the deal yesterday to trade in the LT for a Kristallgrau '07 GT with the new brakes and ASC, in full options. I have ordered the large topcase, with a painted lid to match the bike, as well. Delivery is scheduled for week 40.

Week 40, with the ASC?

Yeps. Only it will not be on the bike yet, because it won't available till 2007.

As my dealer and I learned from BMW NL yesterday, the ASC is only one button on the handlebar and software and can be retrofitted to the GT with the new brakes. As soon as it becomes available in spring '07 it will be fitted on my GT.

So, now the waiting begins ...

that is most excellent news
we've been wondering this for some time
i wonder just WHAT they'll charge to have the retrofit done
2 or 3 times the original price

I don't think it'll be cheap. The buttons usually don't come alone, but entire handlebar units are to be replaced. My deal is that I pay for ASC as built in from factory. The extra work and material is for the dealer's expense

Oh, and before someone asks, it's only possible with the new ABS.

Excellent news, Erwin, thanks. You can bet I'll be having a discussion with my local dealer very soon.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
