Interesting -- apparently BMW of Daytona is causing a lot of hate-n-discontent among the dealers for selling a *lot* bikes outside their territory. It will be interesting to see whether NA does anything about their practices.

Hmmmm! Thanks for the info. That definitely makes the soap-opera (As The Retailers Churn ...) worth watching -- just so you're sure you're there to see the train wreck at the end of the show!

When it's said by someone who has a bigger one, it's not "envy" And no, "quicker" isn't any better, either.

If you'll notice in the description, the reason it's priced so reasonably is because the listed buy it now price may not include tax, tag, freight or dealer fees.

while that may be true....
he is certainly "connected" when it comes to the BMW world in New Jersey....
and BMW certainly isn't complaining about his UNscrupulous way of UNcutting every other southeast-based BMW bike dealer... because he MOVES "PRODUCT"..... and that's all THEY care about
so.... he's BMW's friend.... but, most dealership owners would like to see him OUT OF BUSINESS tomorrow.... if they got their wish

I bought my 05 LT at BMW of Ft.Myers.It was there on consignment, got a reasonable price and great service.I've known the guys there since they opened having worked at the Naples HD store for 4 years,They usually took our whlsle BMW trades, which were quite a few.oOnly one they didn't get was the 03 CLC that I bought, nice bike,a bit under powered.

Not so Tom. I've bought all of my bikes from Bill Perretti's operation and have been very satisfied with pricing and trades . . . no additional dealer profit, no PDI, no shipping freight, no Administrative fees, and top notch service. I full well realize that freight and dealer prep are supposed to be bundled in the price . . . but from what I've heard that's at dealer's discretion to add those items and/or determine final pricing.

I would give them an AAA+rating.

Hi Mark, don't mean to unload on your innocent question but I consider their practices well within the boundaries of good business. Let's not forget that dealers in theory have the opportunity to run their business as they like and that whole question of 'territory' is a very gray area. And while BMWNA may indeed huff and puff as to a dealer's business practices, in reality they are looking for sales volumes. Would [BMW] they rather have BMW Daytona sell a cycle to someone anywhere as opposed to a dealer that's adamant about pricing, or lose the sale to a competitor? Not to be solicitous but I see the argument as specious as people grumbling about Wal*Mart and illegal immigrants. Put the blame on the buyers for Wal*Mart and employers for the immigrants And of course the buyers who support BMW Daytona.

thier prices may be fair now, but if my bike broke down in front of that dealer i would tow it back to georgia before i let them screw up another bike of mine, when Norm had the place it was top notch.

but that's just my expereince there with the run around i got from them , and the fact the owner would never even talk to me over the phone while we had problems was enough for me.
