there is no right or wrong direction, just two different expereinces is all, I actually had a good time dealing with David there, yes they got thier money, gave some deals on extra's but he was fun to deal with, that is actually how i ended up with the mauve LT long story but funny
i've never really had the issues with bad service that you have...
i've ALWAYS thought that i've been OVERcharged in service.
i just thought that every bmw dealer overcharged
everyplace has the hourly fee, being a tech for many many years I understand that however if they are honest about the hours to do the job, the fee isn't bad,
I never quite understood how one BMW dealer could be (saying they ) charge about the same per hour as another bmw dealer yet have HUGE difference in prices for the same job,
take the 12k service once, 800+ bucks down there, (dang near a grand at Daytona) cut it darn near in half up here still at 70 bucks per hour rate
honestly, i remember the first time i tok my 2001 Suzuki GSX-R750 in for service....
they had the bike 3 hours...
charged my $124.50.....
i almost died
i couldn't believe it
here i am getting ready to buy a
2007 K1200GT and...
2007 MV Agusta Brutale 910R from my dealer in tampa (whom a lot of you don't like)
i have bought COUNTLESS bikes and spent COUNTLESS thousands of dollars aftermarket with them
and they won't give me a break on:
1. setup and delivery
2. first service on either bike (probably $600.00/bike at 600 miles)
it's friday and i'm ready to make a huge financial blunder (what else is new for me?) but trading in my 10 month old 2005 R1200GS, taking a very very large bath....
thanks for the confusion guys
don't trade the GS call me or pm me <g>
I'll be back monday online sometime
