Thumbs up For an ugly bike, it sure does attract a lot of attention.

At fuel stops, parkway pull-offs, interstate rest stops, the Deal's Gap store, and so on . . . my GT is attracting a lot of attention. From fellow Beemer riders, riders in general, and even little high school girls at Dairy Queen. One said to me, "That ain't no crotch-rocket, is it? Well Hey! That's a BMW!!!". She was the cutest little thang. And when I tell them the specs, and show them the options...their eyes just get bigger and bigger.

Fellow GT owners, we are a blessed group. Indeed.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Come on Rock, you know better. I've met Joe and I've seen several GTs. So have you.

It's the bike.

I think I read somewhere that you get a coupon for a free helmet in a larger size when you buy a GT.

I thought the bike might be ugly from the press photos as well...

That was until yesterday. I saw a beige one riding alongside of me while rolling south on 99 into Sacramento.

Wow.

My RT's days might just benumbered - pray I do not test ride one...

That's exactly what I said up until yesterday Mike. A test ride did me in.
