Cool GT now in the garage!

The LT sold on eBay in two days to a man from Georgia. He drove up here to Bay Village, Ohio, and handed over the $12,000. He said he got tired of his HOG stranding him and his gal on the side of the road. The new GT came home today. What a sweet ride. I am amazed at how easy it is to be doing way too darn fast on this thing. Looked down to check speed and I was stunned at the number! Suspension is magic, really amazing. The six speed combined with the power are just right. Had the handle bars set high and the seat set low. Feels like when I had my PINGS custom fitted. SO and I are off at early AM for a fun Saturday on the Grey Goose. If you are like me, the LT is a lot of weight at really low speeds, especially with SO and gear. On this GT, that 300 # less mass makes such a difference. The brakes are also DEAD quiet. Not a peep yet and we put 200 miles on after work this evening. If you have not ridden a new GT yet, go do it. I commute [when it ain't snowing here on the NORTH coast]. The nimbleness of this GT gives me a very warm glow. Why do I love that fat rear tire? It is just so pretty! Now you guys have both Joe and me here in the Buckeye state to drive you nuts about the new GT. SO never liked the name Toscana Temptress. So I let her name the GT. She knows I love VODKA, so she came up with the new name. What do you think?

More than 132,000 (recently corrected higher) motorcycle riders have died in traffic crashes since the enactment of the Highway Safety Act of 1966 and The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966. Be careful out there.

Thumbs up

Congrats Rob! I know just how you're feeling. Believe it or not...you won't fully start to appreciate the GT until you put some more miles on it. I'm headed to North Georgia in the early a.m.. Can't wait to get to some real twisties and give thing thing a workout. Then again...it'll probably be giving ME the workout.

The "Grey Goose"? If you like it...whatever. My Ninja was Banzai, and my LT was Amadeus. Haven't named the GT yet. But it'll probably sound a lot faster than the "Grey Goose".

eljeffe has asked me to do a tech session at CCR. Of course, I can't say "no". So there ya have it. You're the first to know.
