J&M Speaker switch install on K1200LT

I am installing a J&M CB (JMCB-2003E-BW) on my 2009- K1200LT. I am using the J&M FGA-345K12LT harness to interface the bike radio output with the J&M. My problem is the "Off" position on the switch is turning off my helmet headset instead of the Motorcycle speakers.

I have been in contact with J&M, even returned the unit, and they say everything is working properly.

I am aware of one similar incident and have contacted the shop that eventually resolved the issue. They could not remember the resolution.

Looking for anyone that has had the same issue. Asking how you resolved it.

Let me follow up with this question. Is there anyone out there that has performed this installation successfully?

Re: J&M Speaker switch install on K1200LT

Does J&M say that the switch is suppose to shut off the bikes speakers? I have a older J&M system on my RT and as far as I know the sound is coming out of both my bikes speakers and the headset. Of course the cb radio and intercom only come through the headsets.

My one disappointment with the J&M system is that I wanted to connect my cell phone to the unit. In order for me to do this I would have had to purchase a $500 interface. My Autocom system on my LT was easy to accommodate any additional inputs, but you cannot beat the clarity of the J&M system.
Good luck!!

Yes. The instructions specifically state the switch will turn off the speakers on the motorcycle.
Thanks for the reply
