Autocom

Hello, seems the Autocom Pro1 is going south after 12 good years of service. The base in the audio distorts and had been getting worse for the last year. I really enjoyed this system but I know there are many new intercoms, bluetooth available.

I wasn't sure if anyone had a Autocom pro 1 laying around and wanted to sell. Since I have the new N104, this might be the time to change everything to bluetooth. My only issue is economics to accomplish total BT change for 2 helmets.

First choice is to replace Autocom Pro1. If there is a used working Autocom out there, please PM. This way I could still enjoy everything and save up for NCom

Thanks,

Rick

Re: Autocom

I don't want to steal Rick's post but in the same topic I'm getting two New N104 helmets and I'd like to know what blue tooth system most people like. I want to be able to plug in My ipod to it ( it's not bluetooth). Any feed back!

Re: Autocom

Often it is just the ear speakers that go south. I replaced a set in mine with good quality headset ones from Radio Shack. Vast improvement and easy to do.

Re: Autocom

Have you considered searching for another Autocom unit? There may used one out there somewhere.

Re: Autocom

My first speakers from autocom is where my symptoms first appeared but was intermittent. If I turned volume up, bass became distorted. Tried the Radio Shack speakers and helped somewhat. Got worse again and tried Sony speakers another member recommended. No improvement.

My problem is solved thanks to a generous member. Man I love this site and all the expertise members freely give, outstanding!!
