in need of: wired headset pair

my wife and i are tired of yelling at each other. we have a 02 LTE and we're wired for sound but need a couple of headsets.we have the coiled cables. we dont know if the comm system works but there's not reason to believe it doesn't. we're the 3rd owner, and now have 2k miles on her ourselves.

anyone have something wired that fits the bill? (so to speak.)

I'm getting a sore throat

Re: in need of: wired headset pair

Hi, there are a few different types of head sets. Does the wires you plug in to have 5 pins or 7 ?

Re: in need of: wired headset pair

Hi Patric

it goes from the standard BMW 6 male to a 8 pin J&M d shape female connector. when i was exploring I called J&M and the tech there told me that this was one of their cables that BMW uses. i think they call them the 'lower' connector or something like that. it's marked with a white tag with "BX" on it. i have 2 of them but nothing to which i can connect .

hope that answers your questions.

Re: in need of: wired headset pair

Mike,

This should be what you need. http://jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=08

A number of online retailers sell them for a bit less than J&M. You won't need the lower cords they mention as you already have them.
