CB Alternatives on '06 KLT?

I own an '02 with the BC system (3rd gen, I think) and the J&M CB unit.

I am buying an '06 which has the newer intercom (little round dial, etc) system in place. What, if any, are my options for installing a CB with this newer intercom system?

I don't have the BMW intercom but run an Autocomm unit. I use a radio shack CB walkie talkie ($99) that I adapted to the FRS cable the autocomm uses. I can switch back and forth as 1/2 my riding friends use cb and the rest use FRS.

+1 on the GMRS - that's where I'm going because it's clearer, longer range, cheap and available. I just got it all working on my Honda VTX (with a Starcom1 system) and then I bought the K1200LT. Next project - remove the Starcom, GMRS etc from the VTX and move it over to the BMW. After I replace what we suspect is a faulty fuel pump relay (there I go removing the tank again)...
