Looking For Simple Interbike Communications

Four guys on four different bikes are riding to Alaska this summer. We are looking for an inexpensive and reliable system that we can use to communicate with each other while on the road. Once the ride is over we will each be going our own ways so we don't want to spend to much money of this. Can anybody help me out here with some suggestions?

This is what we use paired with a couple of motorolla FRS radios. I think we had about $100 invested in 2 full sets. The throat mike kills all the wind noise. Can be used without a helmet for other events.

It's not where we go. It's that we go.

Re: Looking For Simple Interbike Communications

I'm heading on a self guided motorcycle tour of New Zealand with a pal in January.
We're using a pair of kits 21-7-TK from Autocom plus two Kenwood walkie talkies. This is a no frills kit with no fone or music options. The Autocom powers from the Kenwood and there is a PTT switch tiewrapped to the left handlebar grip. This means we don't have to fiddle with vox adjustments and radio etiquette. Just push red button to talk and release to listen.
