Re: Intercom Manual

You have the dreaded BC1. I can't recall right now but PM me as I may be able to get ahold of the manual. May take some time. The 2.5 and 3.5mm holes on the left are for a FRS type radio, I think the other is an Aux. The (not stock) center wheel in your master volume if I am not mistaken. I have to get ahold of another member to get his book and copy it for ya!

Bad news, looking at the manual that another member had its just a supplemental. Tells you how the cord accessories are wired. May come in handy later, He has the BC1 as I described above. I have to re-think my numbering/naming process because after some research it would appear that you have a BC2 and J&M made the BC3 (I have). the main difference is that you have more adjustments than the BC1. They both use the same shell/body.
Long way to address your question but in a nut shell it would appear that working left to right...
The 2.5mm and 3.5mm "holes" are for an FRS radio system. 2.5mm being the audio side and the 3.5mm being the mic side.
The large black button is used for the volume (its a knob on the BC1) Here I can only assume that it toggles between the FRS radio and the AUX....
The 2.5mm (fourth from the left) I assume is an AUX input. Again on the BC1 it is used for a phone interface. and its two "holes"
The remaining two "buttons" I assume are to toggle between the options listed above them...Again I assume...

Hope this helps...

Dear Mr Hoss

Thank you very much for your reply.
I will try to test the 2.5 & 3.5 mm jack hole.
By the way, can you explain what is FRS system?

Thank you for your attention.

Cool Re: Intercom Manual

Hoss, the picture which Danny (the OP) shows is not the BC-1. It is the BC-2. At least in appearance it is. The adjustments on the BC-1 were not readily accessible without pulling the unit away from the stingray some. The BC-2 pots were right there in plain sight as his picture shows. I am pretty sure the BC-1 Manual does not apply to the BC-2.

Whay say ye?

Nay, oh ye of little faith! I've been looking a quite a few posts in the archives as of late to help a local member with his BC1 and connections to a Icom radio. Among other "grains" of knowledge he has passed along, he remembered reading something on the post about the adjustments. Until recently, I thought there were only three different com systems... So on this point you are correct, he does have the BC2. But, looking at the pictures that I found both the 1 & 2 have "some" adjustments. From the pictures it appears that the 2 only has two adjustments. Which would make sense because the 2 has a volume adjustment on the front. Now with that said, I have not seen a two and can only surmise that this is correct. Who knows I could be the biggest a$$, just pullin it out each time I type...But then again, don't we all?

Re: Intercom Manual

If this manual is really the BC2, then the BC2 picture posted by Hoss is wrong. The manual refers to push buttons and LED's on the unit but the unit Hoss has labeled BC2 has no push buttons or LEDS. I have this same unit Hoss has labeled BC2 on a 2000 K1200LT I picked up last fall and am trying to find information on it.

Any thoughts?
