Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

I bought the above system and would reccomend it to anyone who would like to do away with the wire link to the bike. You can each have your own phone and mp3 player and still comunicate via bluetooth. The bluetooth unit fits into your pocket and works really well.

Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

When I was at the MOA Rally in TN, an AutoCom representative at their display, told me that they were not going wireless because wireless only gets 3 hours of play and most of us ride for over 3 hours at a time. This guy was obviously trying to unload some old technology and makes me wonder if I would want to do business with AutoCom.

Having no experience with wireless com systems, I believed him at first, then learned here that he was full of it.

Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

Link to the system and Ive had the same set of batteries in for 6 hours now and its still going. You can get a bike power kit but that takes away the being joined to the bike by cable.I have 2 sets of rechargable batteries. This system is the most versatile system I have come across.
www.autocom.co.uk then click on independence in the product menu.

Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

I have a Pro system on order. I did not go with bluetooth.

Should I reconsider?

Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

I think personal preferance comes in here,I wanted something that would allow me to listen to my own music and have my phone connected at the same time. Both rider and passenger have this option with this system so you can connect 2 phones and 2 mp3 players and still have the intercom working. You can even listen to your passengers mp3 player at the flick of a switch or vice versa and have no cables connected to the bike.

Re: Autocom Bluetooth System

I think everyone is getting a little confused about Autocom and Bluetooth....

The new Autocom systems allow the use of both stereo bluetooth and mono bluetooth. whether these dongles are internal or external they do not do away with the cord that runs from the helmet to the autocom unit. With the new Logic kit L-IW a rider and a passenger who both have the logic wireless hub can be linked by bluetooth but the rider and passenger are still connected to a autocom unit and there is still a lead going to the helmet. When most people talk to us about a wireless system using bluetooth they want no connection from the unit to the helmet.........Autocom says this will not work so that they can guarantee them. We replaced many Bluetooth systems at the BMW MOA international rally. Hope this clears up some of the confusion. Kieth 918-446-2245
