JMCB 2003 and Autocom

Does anyone know if a JMCB radio will work with an Autocom Pro Avi System? If so, does Autocom have the correct interface cables?

Thanks
Ken

Re: JMCB 2003 and Autocom

Are you talking about the JMCB-2003 40 channel CB?

If so from reading the the destructions it uses the 6pin interface and powered mic which I believe is similar to the JM intercom and is not compatible with Autocom system.

It has an Aux input so you could unplug the lead from the Autocom and plug it into the JMCB.

Sounds as though an option might be sell the Atocom and all leads & headsets and buy JMCB with harness and headsets - not sure how much that would cost though.

Re: JMCB 2003 and Autocom

OK, finally found the answer. Just spoke with Autocom tech rep and he tells me that the JMCB is not compatable with the Autocom system. Of course they don't recommend CBs but when asked what is compatable this is what he told me.

Cobra Handheld 38 WXT or 45 WXT. Interface cable is PN 1434 ($35.00) from Autocom.

And there you have it!
