Communication Connection '02

In addition to my new to me '02 K1200LT, I have a '07 Harley Ultra. I did not receive the communication connection or the headsets for my K1200, (I believe it is an "E" model since it has a CB & CD Changer). Is there a way to buy or make a connector so that I don't have to change headsets or purchase another helmet / headset?

The previous owner had no clue how to work any of this. Thanks in advance!

I don't have the documentation for the BMW comm system, but I'm sure that the documentation has the pinouts for the connector. I'm sure that H-D has the pinouts for theirs. It shouldn't be to hard to build an adapter to get you H-D stuff working with the LT's.

Depending on the model of headset it could be possible. If they are J&M headsets that have 2 piece cords, you may be able to just buy a 6 pin lower cord and use it on the BMW.

Here is a link to Sierra Electronics where you may find more info:

As you see there are 2 different the upper connectors in the pictures with your headsets upper connectors.
